Scott Fontaine and Liz Shaw

Scott Fontaine and Liz Shaw were married at 5:30 p.m. July 12, 2008, in the rose garden at Point Defiance Park in Tacoma, Wash.

The Rev. Phillip Nesvig conducted the exchange of vows. A reception followed in the Point Defiance Park pagoda. The couple reside in University Place, Wash.

The bride is the daughter of Terry and Debby Shaw of Woodlake Drive. She is a page designer at The News Tribune in Tacoma, Wash.

The groom is the son of Maryanne Fontaine of Alexandria, Va., and Richard Fontaine Sr. of Kenner, La. He is a reporter at The News Tribune.

Casey Engelau of Columbus was matron of honor, Brittany Hill of Columbus was bridesmaid, and Kate Fontaine of Alexandria was flower girl. Richard Fontaine Jr. of Alexandria and Michael Fontaine of Lansing, N.Y., were best men. Colin Shaw of Charleston, S.C., formerly of Columbus, and Joseph Matta of Mandeville, La., were ushers..
