Stewart and Sandra Smith of Road 100N plan to celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary with a trip to Europe.
Mr. Smith and the former Sandra Calmer were married Sept. 21, 1968, at St. Mathew’s Catholic Church in South Bend by the Rev. John Suelzer.
Mr. Smith retired after working 37 years with the Indiana State Police. Mrs. Smith has worked at Eastside Veterinary Hospital the past 17 years.
The couple have two children, Carolyn Schafer of Gilbert, Ariz., and Patrick Smith of Columbus. They also have fi ve grandchildren..
