Joe and Ruth Reitman of
North Vernon plan to celebrate
their 50th wedding
anniversary at an open house
given by their family from 1 to
3 p.m. Feb. 17 at St. Mary’s
Parish Center in North Vernon.
Mr. Reitman and the former Ruth Coffman Johnson were married Feb. 15, 1958, at St. Mary’s Rectory in North Vernon by the Rev. Omer Eisenman. Mr. Reitman is retired from Cummins Inc. and drives a bus for Jennings County School Corp. Mrs. Reitman is an independent driver for Jennings County School Corp.
The couple have 10 children, Kate Phillips of Columbus, Linda Cribb of Middleburg, Fla., Patti Rush of Independence, Calif., David Johnson, Mike Reitman, Paul Reitman, Ed Reitman and Phillip Reitman, all of North Vernon, John Reitman of Virginia Beach, Va., and Leanna Maschino of Somerset, Ky. The also have 22 grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren.
