Jennifer Kleine and Daniel Smith, both of Columbus, announce their engagement.

Ms. Kleine is the daughter of Richard and Peggy Kleine of Flat Rock Drive. She is a 1998 graduate of Columbus East High School, a 2002 graduate of Indiana University, and a 2007 graduate of Marian College, with a degree in nursing. She is a registered nurse in the pediatric critical care unit at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis and an advanced EMT with Columbus Regional Hospital Ambulance Service.

Mr. Smith is the son of Dennis and Mary Smith of South Jonesville Road. He is a 1998 graduate of Columbus East High School, a 2000 graduate of Northwestern College and plans to graduate this year from Indiana Wesleyan University. He is a sales representative for Kenworth of Indianapolis. The wedding will be at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 18 at Bishop Chartrand Memorial Chapel at Marian College.
