Pedestrian beaten, robbed

    Two men attacked a pedestrian and stole his wallet as he was walking in the area of Ninth and Washington streets.
    The attack happened about 11:48 p.m. Monday. The attackers confronted a man who was walking home and led him into an alley, according to police.
They beat the man and ran away with his wallet. The man was taken to Columbus Regional Hospital for treatment.

He was unable to provide a good description of the men. Lt. Joe Richardson of Columbus Police Department said investigators had not determined whether the attack was connected to other recent pedestrian attacks on Cottage Avenue and on Indiana Avenue.
    Police asked anyone with information to contact CPD, 376-2600.
